You decide to get back in the Word. Monday goes great. By Thursday, life gets loud, and a week later you honestly couldn't say what you read, let alone when.

That gap between intention and habit is exactly what this free Bible reading tracker printable is for. One simple page, one month, a few checkboxes a day. No app, no complicated system, no guilt.

And if you've ever bought a beautiful journal and abandoned it by week two, a single page is a lot easier to stick with.

Why a tracker helps your Bible reading habit

Bible reading is one of those habits we assume will just happen. But without anything to mark the days, consistency stays invisible. Was it three days since you opened your Bible, or three weeks? A tracker makes the pattern something you can see. Not to earn points with the Lord. Reading your Bible isn't a performance. But seeing the month (the streaks and the gaps) is what helps you keep showing up.

Busy seasons are real, too. The tracker isn't about doing more; it's about seeing what your time with Him actually looks like, then adjusting gently.

If you've been hunting for a simple Bible tracker printable — one page instead of a whole binder — this is it.

What's on this Bible reading tracker page

I kept the layout simple so it takes about ten seconds a day. Here's what each part is for:

  • Day 1–31 rows: a whole month on one page, whatever month you start.
  • Minutes read: a number, not a performance. Even five counts.
  • Chapters read: jot the reference so you know where you left off tomorrow.
  • Prayer completed: a checkbox for the talking-to-God part of your quiet time.
  • Memory verse practiced: a checkbox that keeps verse work from sliding off the list. Not sure which verse to pick? Bible Gateway lets you search by topic.
  • Monthly goal: set it at the top of the month. Realistic beats ambitious every time.
  • Days completed, total chapters, total minutes: a month-in-review tally at the bottom.
  • Notes & reflections: dotted lines for one honest line about what stood out.

The design is calm and clean: watercolor sage-green leaves and warm terracotta berries on an off-white page, with Psalm 37:4 across the bottom — "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

It's one page, US Letter size (8.5 x 11), as a PDF.

How to use your Bible reading tracker so it sticks

A page only helps if you actually come back to it. A few things that make that easier:

  • Fill in the monthly goal first. One chapter a day is plenty. You can always do more; you rarely need to.
  • Keep it where you'll see it. On top of your Bible, on the nightstand, in the binder by the coffee maker. Out of sight is out of habit.
  • Check the boxes the same day. It's a ten-second habit. If you forget, catch up the next morning and move on.
  • Leave the blank rows alone. A missed day isn't failure. The point is the pattern over a month, not a perfect streak.
  • Write one line in the notes. A sentence about what stood out. Future you will be glad you did.
  • Pair it with a plan. Follow any Bible reading plan printable, an app like YouVersion (they have free plans for every book and topic), or a slow walk through one Gospel. The tracker just records what actually happened.

Over time, a stack of these pages becomes its own kind of encouragement: proof that you kept showing up, even on the weeks it was just a few verses.

What to print it on

Plain paper is the right call for this one. You're printing a fresh page every month, so there's nothing fancy to buy. The three things I use (see the disclosure below):
